Scott Poepping   (Founding Principal)

Scott brings over 30 years of experience to his position as founding principal of Meridan Capital.  In this role, he is responsible for setting the investment strategy employed by the firm and the research that supports its implementation.  Prior to founding Meridan, he was part of Talegen Holdings (Xerox Subsidiary), where he played a lead role in the restructuring and ultimate disposition of 13 business units to a series of domestic and foreign buyers, completion of which allowed Xerox to divest from the financial services industry.  This effort included the largest restructuring in the property/casualty insurance industry to that point.  He began his career at the Bay Area headquarters of Fireman's Fund Insurance Companies, holding a series of management roles and ultimately overseeing the Special-Risk Product's area of the organization.  A Nebraska native, Scott graduated magna cum laude from Northwest Missouri State University with a B.S. in Business/Computer Science and subsequently earned an MBA from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University.

Civic activities include recent roles on the Parent Advisory Council for Marquette University and the Board of Directors for KUOW Public Radio.
